Iman Wilkerson's involvement in group runs had an immense transformational effect, instilling in her the self-esteem she needed to pursue her wildest aspirations. She has committed to drawing on this newfound motivation and paying it forward by helping others interact with their immediate area via running. Thus, she created The Run Down, a web-based app that links local joggers and informs them about exciting paths to explore nearby. Appreciative of the progress made in the San Diego area, the app is currently being adopted in Los Angeles and beyond.

 

 How much effort do you think you allocate to the mental side of your training conditioning? (A Shit load? - Depends ?- Not so much ?)

A shit Load!

 

How often do you encounter failure (either in training or competing), and how do you interact with it during/after it has held you back from your goal?

 

Every "failure" is an opportunity to do better. I review the factors that made me miss my mark and how I can prevent that from happening again to get a better result or get closer to my goal.

 

 

What motivator allows you to elevate your game beyond 100%? In other words, what is it within you that accounts for that extra push when you need it?

 

If I'm allowed to try something extraordinary, I think about myself in the future, feeling guilty about not pursuing it. Call it FOMO, but when allowed to apply yourself, take it! See where you can take yourself if you try.

 

Have you tried functional Mushrooms before?

Have you had an experience with psychedelic mushrooms before? If so, how did the experience affect your life?

 

Yes, in a microdose and of course, you interpret music, colours and nature differently. The day after is when I usually notice a shift in awareness or my ego is smaller. I like to explore what that perspective looks like - inward and outwardly.
